It began with a one-way ticket and a restless need for something real. We came to Tanzania looking for adventure—but what we found was something far greater: breathtaking landscapes, timeless skies, and people who welcomed us not as strangers, but as family.
We fell in love with all of it.
In those first days, we met incredible people—souls who became lifelong friends. We shared stories around campfires, drove deep into the wild, and learned to move with the rhythm of this place. Somewhere along the way, our passion for classic cars became part of the journey too. We found an old Land Cruiser FJ60, brought it back to life, and began exploring remote corners of this country—places where giraffes outnumber cars and the road disappears into the horizon.
That was the beginning of Faru Team. A blend of passionate people, and the open road.
What started as a journey turned into a calling. Today, we’ve taken that love and built something with heart—a adventure company rooted in real connection, not just logistics. We craft experiences that reflect the soul of Tanzania and the wildness that first drew us here.
“Faru” means rhino in Swahili—a creature as rare as it is fearless. To us, it stands for everything we believe in: resilience, raw beauty, and the quiet power of the wild.
